Sanitation Supervisor

Location: Compton, CA | Shift: Graveyard | Status: Exempt | Job ID: #17681

Essential Job Functions

    1. Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve food safety, sanitation, cost, quality, and safety performance.
    2. Supervises the development and execution of crewing, materials, and equipment plans that will prevent any micro contamination.
    3. Supervise Chemical material usage to ensure proper usage and eliminate waste usage of chemical.
    4. Works with QA functions to ensure proper alignment of sanitation protocol. Liaison between USDA inspector and Plant.
    5. Supervise sanitation activity to ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies such as USDA, FDA, and Local governing body.
    6. Supervise minute-to-minute and hour-to-hour operational and sanitation personnel activity to ensure compliance with GMP's and all housekeeping and sanitation standards. Maintains and update SSOP.
    7. Supervises sanitation crew to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulation, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards.
    8. Supervises employee performance, recognizing and rewarding positive contributions, and exercising the Company's progressive discipline policies when applicable.
    9. Trains and develops employees to support key performance goals for the Company.
    10. Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve people performance and overall quality of work life and morale.
    11. Work closely with QA and CPS leader to ensure implementation of SSOP, Centerline, Five S or any other continuous improvement effort. Work closely with Manager for any sanitation, safety, or QA issue.

Requirements

    1. Bachelor's degree in business, technical, or related discipline preferred, or applicable equivalent experience.
    2. Three years food manufacturing experience, with two years in a shift management or sanitation management role.
    3. Strong leadership skills and ability to act independently.
    4. Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.
    5. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend English.
    6. Experience in training, planning, assigning and directing staff and Continuous Improvement Efforts is a plus.
