IT Infrastructure Manager

Location: Livingston, CA | Shift: Day | Status: Exempt | Job ID: #17374

Essential Job Functions

1. Manage department activities relative to the modification, monitoring, implementation, maintenance and
forecasting utilization/growth of production hardware, software and services.
2. Insure appropriate data and system backups are performed in conjunction with policies and insure all
Foster Farms’ environments are efficient and effective.
3. Manages (plans, directs and measures) the work assignments of the LAN, AIX and DBA staff.
4. Manage the planning, execution and support of the function. Evaluate, design and implement cost effective solutions (hardware, software and services), ensuring that solutions are evaluated from a long-term perspective.
5. Evaluate new and emerging technologies.
6. Participate as a member of IT Management in developing organizational tactics. Maintain an in-depth awareness of current and emerging technology trends regarding computing platforms.
7. Maintain an understanding of all ongoing expenses for the department and assist in the development of annual budgets, monthly expense analyses, budget vs. actual forecasts and capital projects.

Requirements

1. Degree in Computer Science or related field.
2. Five-ten years experience in managing a technical department and experience making independent decisions related to setting priorities of staff assignments and staff development.
3. Five-ten years experience in infrastructure maintenance and projecting growth.
4. Strong experience in managing multiple technical projects.
5. Responsible for managing capital project budgets of varying sizes.
