History

Foster Farms has been a family–owned and operated company for four generations. Since our founding days back in 1939, we have always been committed to providing consumers with the highest–quality, best–tasting poultry products available. Travel with us through our history and learn how what started as a small farm back in Modesto, California, grew into the West’s most trusted poultry company.

Talking Turkey

Increasing consumer demand for Foster Farms' fresh turkey products for family meals led us to acquire ConAgra's Butterball Turkey operations in Turlock, California. The acquisition enabled Foster Farms to be a part of more special family meals during the holidays and all year 'round. Today, Foster Farms continues to provide the freshest turkey available on the West Coast.

We Do the Cooking For You

Also in 1999, Foster Farms opened a new plant in Porterville, California, dedicated to producing cooked chicken products so that consumers could enjoy Foster Farms quality chicken faster. Our all-white-meat chicken nuggets and patties, buffalo-style wings and ready-to-eat chicken tenders are just some of the scrumptious items made just for you and your family.
